Galaxy Defender Anise
A downloadable game
Previously entitled "Project GDA", Is Pearlbirth Entertainment's first true project.
The genre of the game will be a Side-Scrolling Shoot em Up with a Sprite style inspired by the Mega Drive/Genesis and and music in the style of early 90's redbook soundtracks. It will also be fine tuned to a difficulty level that will be both challenging but fair.
Confirmed Mechanics:
- Player will have the common primary shot.
- Player will have the "Velocity Decrease" Ability which will allows them to dodge bullets and dangerous object more precisely.
- Player will not be a one-hit wonder, and will have a health total of 4 pegs.
- Player will be able to collect "Repair Kits" to restore lost health
- Game will have the common score/ hi score mechanic.
Mechanics Still on the Drawing Board:
- Player could perform a "Slice Spin" which will destroy energy bullets with a few exceptions.
- Player could have the ability to fire a secondary non-homing shot which will be slower yet stronger than the primary shot and could destroy certain bullet types.
- Player's progress (or score) will change the ending.
-CURRENT PROGRESS -
- Main Character's Design is Finalized (Finished some time earlier this year)
- Story Plot is near completion. (Being Constantly fined tuned)
- Soundtracks completed so far: 2 (Stage 1, Final Stage)
- 3 Main player controls have been programmed in (Primary Shot, 4-Way Movement and Velocity Decrease)
- Main Character now has a idle sprite
- Sprite for the Repair Kit is complete but not yet coded .
- One of the enemy sprite work is done and added to the project
- Some sound effects have been added and coded
- Stage 1 music has been added and coded
- Original Font has been completed and added into the project.
- Star effects for Stage 1 is programmed to parallax scroll.
- Rough background is added and programming for the parallax scroll is coded.
- A Working title logo has been made and revealed.
